A positive week
Although the remainder of the UK seems to have been in melt down during the last few days this week has been a really positive one for the men's club - possibly the most positive for the best part of a decade.
Good results for all bar one team including a gritty point for the ladies was followed by a training session attended by close to 30 members and run by the much respected David Cresswell who along with Paddy Harman are key guys for the future of the club.
This was followed by Alex Goode joining the club - one of last year's leavers - and others possibly joining together with 2 or more young Old Carthusians. The final bit of good news was my hearing that the school are willing to play the club on a Thursday evening in early January - more details to follow shortly - with the game being used to commerorate Roger Loveland by playing for the Loveland vase or something similar.
There are so many positives that we can genuinely now look to the immediate and hopefully long term future with real optimism.
Best of luck this weekend to one and all.
